1. Onboarding Flow UI Fix
Fixed bug that prevented the UI from updating when a user made changes to an onboarding flow.
Payroll
1. Automatic Void & Manual Inclusion
Voids and manuals that are created after a payroll has been opened will now automatically be added to the payroll when the user calculates the payroll.
Employees
1. Federal W-4 Entry Added
Users can now fill out an employee’s federal W4 information when the employee is being manually added to PayDeck.
2. Default State Status Selection
When adding a new state to an employee’s profile, a default status will be selected for that state, preventing users from accidentally saving a state without a status.
3. 401(k) Change Warnings
Warnings have been added to notify users when they attempt to make a change to an employee’s 401k deduction. In general, users should only make changes to an employee’s 401k deductions after receiving confirmation from their employee.
4. Alternate W-4 State Controls
The following states will have some of their state tax fields disabled unless the alternate W4 option is selected: Colorado, North Dakota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Utah, and Vermont.
5. Occupational Code Fix
Fixed bug that prevented users from saving occupational code information for states that required it (ex. Alaska).
6. State Tax Editing Improvements
Updated PayDeck to make it more obvious when a user is editing an employee’s state tax information versus when a user is adding new state tax information for an employee.
7. Scheduled Rate Save Fix
Fixed bug that caused an employee’s current rate or salary to be erroneously updated when a future scheduled rate was saved for an employee.
8. Name Length Requirement Update
The minimum length requirement for an employee’s first and last names has been reduced to two characters.

1. Extended Report History Access
Clients can now generate reports for payrolls ran within the past six years. Previously, clients could only generate reports for payroll within the last year.

1. Removed Job Population Fix
Fixed bug that caused jobs which were removed from an employee’s profile to still populate on an employee’s check in payroll.
2. Department Graph Cleanup
We removed the currency symbol from the ‘Employee by Department’ pie graph on the payroll summary page.
3. Labor Distribution Freeze Fix
Fixed rare bug that caused PayDeck to freeze when some users would try to run a labor distribution on their payroll.
4. Salary Row Display Fix
When a PowerGrid is created for employees that have both a salary and a rate, the row for the salary will no longer display the rate.
5. PowerGrid Removal Fix
Fixed bug that prevented users from removing a PowerGrid from a payroll. Users should now be able to remove any PowerGrids from a payroll that were added by accident.
6. Calculate Payroll Workflow Update
The ‘Validate Payroll’ button has been renamed to ‘Calculate Payroll’ and has been moved to the ‘Edit Payroll’ screen. Users will now need to address all alerts displayed by the Payroll Assistant before calculating the payroll (warnings can be ignored). Users will not be able to move to the ‘Payroll Summary’ screen until the payroll is calculated.
7. Auto-Sizing PowerGrid Columns
When creating a PowerGrid, the PowerGrid columns will auto-size based on the width of the header text.
8. PowerGrid Sort Order Fix
Fixed bug that reset the sort order on a PowerGrid after a user saved changes or saved edits made to the grid.
9. Default Setup Row Option
In the PowerGrid, added an option to add a new row for the selected employee based on the employee’s default setup in the Employee Profile. Previously, users could only duplicate an existing row for employees, which was frustrating if the user made multiple edits to that row and wanted to add a second row based on the user’s default setup.
10. Multi-PowerGrid Processing
Users can now process multiple PowerGrids at the same time instead of having to process them individually.
11. Duplicate Row Indicator
When choosing to add a duplicate row to the PowerGrid, users will now see a duplicate row in green if there are pending changes. Previously, there was no indication that a duplicate row was being added when other changes were pending, causing confusion.
12. Expanded PowerGrid Visibility
When scrolling to view additional columns in the PowerGrid, only the columns containing core employee info will be frozen. This should make the PowerGrid screen feel less cramped for users that have PowerGrids with a large amount of columns.
Employees
1. Inactive Vendor Cleanup
When choosing a vendor when setting up or editing a deduction, inactive vendors will no longer show up in the dropdown list.
2. State Change Fix
Fixed bug that prevented users from changing an employee’s work or resident state if the employee already had checks associated with their profile.
3. Pay Period Visibility
Users can now see a check’s pay period when viewing the check in the ‘Pay History’ section of an employee’s profile.
4. Expanded Deduction Details
Additional Information (Division/Department/Goal amount) is now displayed in the Scheduled Earning/Deduction section of the employee profile. Users no longer have to open up individual earnings/deductions to review this information.
5. Local Allowance Updates
In states where applicable, users can now change their employee’s local allowances.
6. Date Display Fix
Fixed bug that caused some dates to be displayed incorrectly.
Settings
1. Protected Job Deletion Fix
Fixed bug that allowed users to delete jobs which were either active on an employee’s profile or had previously been used on a check.
EmployeeDeck
1. Tax Information Visibility
Employees can now view their tax information regardless of the ability to edit the information. Previously, employees could not view their tax information if they were not given permission to edit their tax information.
2. 401GO EmployeeDeck Access
Employees can now sign into 401GO through EmployeeDeck if the employer has a 401GO account set up.

Our onboarding module has been refreshed with a cleaner look, smoother navigation, and a more intuitive experience from start to finish. Alongside the updated interface, we’ve introduced several meaningful enhancements for both hiring managers and new hires—including customizable welcome screens, improved application workflows, QR code sharing, document versioning, and clearer visibility into onboarding progress. The same core functionality remains in place, now delivered through a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.

1. PDF Report Generation Fix
Fixed issue that caused the following PDF reports to occasionally not generate: Employee summary earnings, employee detail earnings, and payroll liability reports.
Payroll

Fixed bug that caused an employee’s pay status to not be read correctly when starting payroll.

Onboarding
1. I-9 Form Update
The I-9 form used during onboarding has received some behind the scenes upgrades. This will not affect users who have already been added to PayDeck. Any users who have signed the I-9 but have not had their application approved will need to sign a new I-9.
2. System Fields Integration
Added option to select system fields when configuring a custom document. Applicants will no longer need to fill out their personal or contact information twice if that information is required on a custom document.
Payroll
1. Overtime Recalculation Fix
After moving to the payroll summary screen, if users needed to go back and delete overtime hours, the check would still be calculated as if the overtime hours weren’t deleted. This has now been fixed.
2. Duplicate Pay Code Fix
Fixed rare issue where PayPilot (Union Utility) would unintentionally remove duplicate pay codes on an employee’s paycheck in payroll.
Employees
1. Dynamic Pay Rate Labels
When manually adding a new employee, the pay rate label will now be dynamically updated based on the pay type chosen. This should provide more clarity about what information needs to be entered.
2. Timezone Display Fix
Fixed issue that caused dates to be displayed with the incorrect time zone in specific scenarios.
Timekeeping
1. WFM Auto Sync Fix
Previously, there was a bug preventing WFM users from automatically syncing their employees from PayDeck to WFM. This bug has been fixed—new employees will automatically be synced to WFM. In addition, updates to existing employees in PayDeck will also automatically be synced to WFM.
EmployeeDeck
1. Federal Tax Update Fix
Fixed issue that prevented employees from updating their federal tax information in EmployeeDeck.

Onboarding
1. I-9 Phone Field Fix
Fixed issue that caused the telephone number field on the I-9 form to be left blank when the user entered a cellphone number instead of a home phone number.
2. I-9 ID Verification Required
Employees filling out an onboarding application are no longer able to sign the I-9 until they complete the ID verification step.
3. Custom Documents Rebuilt
Custom documents have been completely overhauled. When filling out a custom document, users no longer need to complete the fields before opening up the document. Users can now complete the fields while reviewing the document, enjoying a seamless interactive experience. Due to this change, custom fields are no longer connected to custom documents.
Payroll
1. Pay Status Identification Fix
Fixed bug that caused payroll to not correctly identify an employee’s pay status (salary/hourly). This did not affect any pay calculations.
Employees
1. Effective Date Required
Users are now required to enter an effective date when updating an employee’s salary or rate.
2. Future Start Dates
Users can now enter a future start date when adding a new employee. Employees with the future start date will only be included in payrolls that are created after the employee’s start date.
3. Wider Labor View
Increased the width of the labor distribution grid in the employee profile so that up to five company jobs can be seen at the same time.
EmployeeDeck
1. Nationwide State Tax Editing
Employees can now edit their state tax information in EmployeeDeck for all 50 states. Previously, employees could only edit their information if they worked in New York and New Jersey.

1. I-9 Re-Sign Trigger
If an employee updates their personal info after signing the I-9 form while filling out an application, the employee will be required to sign the I-9 form again.

Payroll
1. FICA Rounding Fix
Previously, when creating manual checks that had no FICA taxability, PayDeck would round the FICA withholdings to the nearest penny. This has been resolved. PayDeck will not try to deduct any FICA amounts from manual checks that do not have any FICA taxability.
2. Payroll Submission Safeguard
Fixed bug that would allow our fastest users to submit payroll before all checks have finished calculating.

PayDeck users can now set an employee’s job status in PayDeck.

1. Saved Live Report Layouts
Fixed bug preventing users from saving their preferred live report layouts. As a reminder, live reports can be found by going to “Reports Generate a Report Toggle the Only Live Reports (button located at the top right of the page)”
2. Check Date Filter Fix
When using the check date filters in the Report Builder, if a payroll check date was on the same date as the filter start date, the payroll would not be included in the report. This has now been fixed.
Payroll
1. PowerGrid Export Options
When exporting a PowerGrid from PayDeck, users now have the option to choose whether or not the job descriptions are included in the export.
Employees
1. Contractor Last Name Optional
Users are no longer required to include a last name when adding a contract worker to PayDeck.
2. Accurate Rate Change Labels
Fixed scheduled rate change labels to accurately depict if an upcoming change is for a salary or an hourly rate.
3. Inactive Jobs Hidden

3. Streamlined Document Setup
When creating a new custom document template, the save and configure button will automatically bring the user to the custom document setup page. Previously users would have to click a second button to be taken to that custom document setup page.
4. Flexible Document Uploads
Users have the ability to request employees upload their own documents when filling out an Onboarding application. Users are allowed to set a cap determining the max amount of documents an employee can upload. Previously employees were being erroneously required to upload the maximum amount of attachments—and employees will no longer be required to do so.

1. I-9 Approval Flexibility
Fixed issue that prevented clients from approving an onboarding application if the onboarding application did not contain any List A or List B I-9 documents. Clients can now approve onboarding applications without needing to request List A or List B I-9 documents.
2. Required Acknowledgement Fields
Fixed bug that allowed users to create custom documents that did not include an acknowledgement field for the employee to fill out. All custom documents will now require at least one acknowledgement field for the employee to fill out.
Section Reports
1. Live Report Timeout Fix
Fixed bug that caused live reports to not generate when the time needed to generate a report exceeded a certain threshold.
Payroll
1. Manual Check Error Fix
When deleting a manual check with issues, a pop-up error would be erroneously displayed to the user. This pop-up will no longer show unless there’s an actual problem with deleting a manual check.
2. Control Special Check Generation
We currently allow clients to generate special checks for specific paycodes that are used on a payroll or manual check. Clients will now have the ability to prevent special checks from being generated when those paycodes are used on manual checks. This option will not be available for payroll checks.

Fixed issue that allowed companies without the DD service to create direct deposit payments, potentially causing employees to not receive any payment.
10. DD Service Banner Added
Added banner in employee profile to notify companies without DD service that their employees will only receive a physical check, even if the employee profile has a DD account setup.
11. Direct Deposit Conflict Resolved
Fixed error preventing users from setting a DD account to 100% if there were other accounts on the profile that were also 100%. Now, any additional 100% accounts will be disabled if there is at least one existing account set to 100%.

Fixed bug that would cause a softlock if employees signed an I-9 during the Onboarding process without uploading required documents. Employees can no longer sign before uploading documents.
4. Underage DOB Warning
When adding/changing an employee’s D.O.B, a warning will be displayed if the date selected would indicate the employee is under 18 years old.
5. Return Onboarding for Edits
Employers can now send back onboarding applications to employees if the employee needs to add/update information.
6. Set Pay During Approval
Employers can now set the employee’s salary/hourly rate when approving the onboarding application. Previously, the employer would have to go back into the profile to add a salary/hourly rate after approving.
7. Group Filter Restored
Fixed the group filter in the Report Builder. Reports can now be run with the group filter after an aggregate function has been applied to columns.
8. Onboarding Typos Corrected
Fixed some typos in the New Hire Onboarding Application.
9. Onboarding Menu Update
The Onboarding Module has been moved to a separate section in the left-hand navigation menu in preparation for additional features that will be added.

Users can now add persistent company-wide notes to employee paychecks. Previously, users could only add notes for a single payroll.

Users can now add an SSN or EIN for contractors. Previously, PayDeck only accepted EIN’s for contractors.

Fixed bug that would display inactive local tax codes when adding local taxes to an employee profile in PayDeck.

Adjusted manual check creation process so it is clear when the manual check is created.
16. NJ Exemption Bug Fixed
Fixed bug preventing users from marking a NJ employee as State Withholding Exempt.
17. Payroll Warnings Confirmation Step
Added step to have users confirm they reviewed all payroll warnings before submitting the payroll. Payroll warnings (different from alerts) will not prevent a payroll from being submitted, but they should still be reviewed!
18. Large Report Save Fix
Fixed bug that prevented reports with a large amount of columns from being saved in the Report Builder.

1. Department Naming Bug Fix
Fixed a bug that caused an Error 500 message when trying to run payroll if a department did not have a name.
2. Inactive Job Highlighting
Added clarity to the Employee Profile Page. If an employee is assigned an inactive job on the Employee Profile Page, the job will now be highlighted in red.
3. Check Deletion Error Fix
Prevented erroneous error message from popping up when successfully deleting a check from the List View on the Payroll Entry screen.
4. Improved DD Status Logic
DD status will now be updated on a per employee basis instead of a per DD account basis. This means that if a new DD account is added to an employee’s profile and the employer decides to not skip prenote, all old DD accounts will now be set to prenote as well.
5. PowerGrid Page Display Control
PayDeck users can now decide how many employees are displayed per page when using the PowerGrid.
6. Check Count Display Fix
Fixed bug that would cause the total check count in the List View to be displayed incorrectly.
7. PDF Report Save Format
When printing a payroll report from PayDeck, the report will now be saved as a PDF as not as a scan document.
8. PowerGrid Payee Defaults Fixed
Fixed issue that occurred when adding payees to the PowerGrid. Payees will now have their default pay information correctly populated after being added to the PowerGrid.
9. Batch Check Updates
Added ability to update settings for multiple checks at once when in the List View. This includes deleting multiple checks, adding notes to multiple checks, updating the frequency for multiple checks, and applying Net-to-Gross calculations for multiple checks.
10. PA Local Tax Fixes
Made improvements when adding local taxes for Pennsylvania employees:
- Added search bar to the PA PSD code drop down
- Fixed bug that would prevent PSD local codes from displaying after user updated employee local information. PSD local codes will now be displayed correctly after employee local tax information is updated.
11. Deduction Payee Enhancements
Made improvements when adding payable information to employee deductions:
- Vendor address information will now be displayed when updating an employee’s deduction payable information.
- Added search bar to the vendor dropdown
12. Terminated Employee Warning
Added warning to Payroll Assistant that notifies PayDeck users when a terminated employee is in the payroll.
13. Pay History Display Fix
Fixed bug that caused inaccurate information to be displayed when choosing one of the default pay period options in the pay history page. Default pay period options will now only display checks within the relevant pay period. (eg. When selecting the ‘last year’ option, only checks from the previous year will be displayed.)
14. Pending Check Alert
Added warning to Payroll Assistant that notifies PayDeck users when there are pending manual checks not included in payroll.

1. Flat Deposit Fix
Fixed bug that prevented clients from updating direct deposit accounts, if the direct deposit had a flat dollar amount being deposited into the account.
2. Pay Pilot Launch
Added new pay pilot feature that will automatically adjust checks during payroll validation. This includes automating employer 401k matching and updating prevailing wages.
3. Special Check Support
Added ability to generate special checks for employees who have a scheduled deduction set up on their profile.
4. Hide Grid Columns
Added ability to hide division and department columns from the PowerGrid. Reach out to a payroll specialist if you would like to permanently edit the columns you see on the PowerGrid.

14. Auto Deduction Prompt
When changing an employee’s department or division in the employee profile, PayDeck will now display a pop-up offering to automatically change the division/department of any scheduled deductions as well.
15. Payee Limit Increase
The view limit on the Add Payees page has been increased to accommodate employers with a large amount of employees.
16. Side Panel Save Fix
Fixed bug that prevented side check panel in check view from saving updates if the panel was closed too quickly.
17. Validation Message Update
Updated Payroll Assistant so the “payroll needs to be processed by a specialist” message will not show unless required after validation.
18. PA PSD Code Support
In the local tax section of the Employee Profile, clients can now assign PSD codes to employees who work or live in Pennsylvania.

1. Labor Distribution in PowerGrid
Added labor distribution feature to the PowerGrid. Previously the labor distribution was only available in the payroll check view—the feature has now been added to the PowerGrid as well.

4. Bulk Option Text Update

5. Default Rate Now Included
An employee’s default rate will now be included when they are added to the PowerGrid. Previously, an employee’s default rate was not included if the employee was added to the PowerGrid after the PowerGrid had already been created.
6. Multiple Checks per Employee
PayDeck PowerGrid now allows the creation of multiple checks for one employee.
7. Prenote Status Warning Added
Added warning to payroll system so employees are notified if an employee in the payroll has a direct deposit status of prenote. Warning will give employers the option to set the direct deposit status to active.

1. Void Checks Across Quarters
Clients are now able to void checks from the previous quarter if the employee has enough earnings in the current quarter to cover the void.
2. Clearer Password Error Messaging
Updated error message received when user fails to change their password due to not meeting the requirements. The error message will now clarify that the user's new password does not meet the requirements.
3. Stronger 2FA Setup Security
Enhanced the security features when setting the PayDeck 2FA method. PayDeck users will need to reach out to us if they want to set their 2FA method to email.
4. First-Time Login Page Fix
Fixed bug that would occasionally cause the EmployeeDeck page to go blank when a user logged in for the first time.
5. Password Reset Button Fixed
Fixed bug that prevented users from being able to reset their password. Users will now be able to reset their password when clicking on the reset password button in PayDeck.
6. W2 Downloads on iPhone Restored
Fixed bug that prevented employees from downloading their annual documents (W2) from EmployeeDeck when using an iPhone.

1. Pre-note skipping option added
Previously, clients were not able to dictate an employee’s Pre-note status in PayDeck. We’ve now added a new feature that allows clients to skip the Pre-note, giving employees the opportunity to receive Direct Deposit on their first paycheck after a new Direct Deposit account has been added or updated.

7. Expanded report filters
Fixed bug that only allowed users to run the Bank Reconciliation and Department Totals Allocation reports by the payroll parameter. Users should now be able to run these reports by payroll, month, quarter, or year.
8. Submit payroll anytime
Clients can now submit new payrolls even if the previous payroll hasn’t finished printing all reports.
9. Safari freeze fix
Fixed bug that caused the user’s screen to freeze after closing a payroll report in Paydeck while using specific versions of the Safari browser.
10. PowerGrid arrow navigation
Added ability to navigate PowerGrid cells using the arrow keys on the keypad. The user needs to press the enter key once on the keyboard before navigating with the arrow keys.
11. NY MTA tax lock
Paydeck users can no longer override the New York MTA tax.

1. Auto-save customization
In Paydeck, added a new setting that allows users to configure the duration of seconds in the auto-save delay. This feature can be found in payroll settings by clicking the gear icon at the top of the page.
2. Powergrid scroll bar adjustment
In Powergrid, adjusted the size of the scroll bar so that it doesn't overlap with the numbers in the rightmost column of the grid.
3. Browser refresh fix
Fixed bug that forced users to refresh their browser after opening a payroll report in Paydeck.
4. Employee section tax fix
Fixed bug in the employee section of Paydeck that prevented users from updating state tax information for New Jersey employees.
5. Labor distribution fix
Fixed bug that would occasionally occur when using the labor distribution feature in payroll. All checks will now be distributed appropriately according to the employee's setup.
6. Local tax section update
The local tax section of the employee profile has been updated in Paydeck. Users will now only see local tax codes that are relevant to their company.
7. Open liability fix
Updated Paydeck so that users are no longer prevented from running payroll when there is an open liability.

5. PowerGrid negative dollar fix
Fixed bug that would delete negative dollar amounts on a check when the check was created using a PowerGrid.

5. FICA only fix
Updated/Fixed 'FICA only' option so that no taxes are withheld from the Resident Withholding State when the Resident Withholding State is different from the Work Withholding State.
6. Erroneous deposit reversal
Users can now attempt a reversal transaction when voiding an erroneous direct deposit payment to an employee.
7. Error message enhancement
Added error message to inform user that they should reach out to payroll specialist when there is a problem with processing a PowerGrid.
8. View check button enhancement
When clicking on the “view check” button in Payroll Assistant, you are navigated to a brand new screen where you can edit the check in an easier and more streamlined way.

If an employee works with multiple companies and therefore has multiple EmployeeDeck profiles, the employer can no longer reset the employee's password. The employee must reset their password themselves if they forget it. If they need assistance, they can contact us for support.
3. EmployeeDeck mobile app update
The EmployeeDeck mobile app now exclusively shows EmployeeDeck profiles. Previously, the app displayed a “PayDeck Portal” that was non-functional; this has now been removed for a more streamlined experience.
4. Corrected MCTMT tax calculation in Paydeck
Optimized MCTMT tax calculations to ensure the correct rate is displayed at all times.
5. Functional "load more" button on pay history page in EmployeeDeck
In EmployeeDeck, the “Load More” button on the pay history page now functions properly, allowing users to view all older checks.
6. Improved live report search and filter in Paydeck
Clients can now choose specific columns and filter by criteria such as employee type and department when viewing a live report in PayDeck. The search functionality for columns, previously non-functional, is now fully operational.
7. Redesigned login page
The login page has been redesigned to better reflect our branding with updated colors and logos. It also adapts more effectively to various screen sizes.
8. Enhanced multi-factor authentication options in EmployeeDeck
Employees can now select their preferred method of multi-factor authentication (email, phone, or text) in EmployeeDeck for added flexibility and security.
9. Resolved Zendesk widget issue
An issue with the Zendesk widget, where the chatbox would pop open and could not be closed, blocking important information on the screen, has been resolved.
10. New PowerGrid feature in beta
By popular request, we’ve introduced a beta version of our PowerGrid feature! This tool makes it easier to manage multiple employees by allowing users to add employees by name, filter by department, select/deselect all employees, add payees, and highlight changes in color. 8. Streamlined payroll lists
Selecting employees for payroll is now easier with Payroll Lists, which enables clients to select groups of employees based on pay frequency, department, or pay type, rather than choosing them individually.
9. Fix to manual check
You can now view both total gross and net amounts before submitting manual checks, allowing for more accurate confirmation. This update ensures you have complete visibility over these figures before finalizing the submission.
10. EmployeeDeck document ordering
Year-end documents are now displayed with the most recent documents at the top, making it easier to find and access important records quickly.
11. Employee check breakdown
The employee-side check breakdown now accurately displays deduction details, rather than showing incorrect $0 values. This ensures that all deduction amounts are correctly reflected for more transparent payroll information.
12. Profile count for multi-account users
Users with multiple Brand's portal accounts will now see the correct number of profiles linked to their accounts. This update improves account accuracy and provides a better user experience for those managing multiple profiles.
13. Direct deposit visualization
Employees can now clearly view how their paycheck will be split among their direct deposit accounts. The new layout also provides a cleaner, more user-friendly experience, showing precise amounts based on each account’s percentage allocation.
14. Report year input in live reports
Users can now directly input the report year within the live reports section of Paydeck, simplifying the process of generating accurate, year-specific reports.
15. Direct deposit deletion confirmation
When deleting a direct deposit, users are now prompted to confirm the action, reducing the risk of accidental deletions and improving account management security.
16. Bank account order customization
The move up and down buttons for direct deposit allocations are now fully functional, allowing employees to easily customize the order of their bank accounts based on their preferences.
17. Seamless profile switching
Paydeck users with both employee and employer accounts can now switch between profiles with a single click. This feature enhances efficiency, allowing easy navigation between different roles.
18. Payroll module tooltips
The Payroll module in Paydeck now features tooltips for each icon, providing helpful explanations when hovering over them. This addition offers clearer guidance on platform functions for a more user-friendly experience.
19. Payroll-filtered reports have been adjusted
When it comes to filtering reports by payroll, the sorting has been improved. Previously, reports were sorted alphanumerically, but now they display the most recent payroll first.
20. Multiple company access fix
Clients with multiple companies can now access the 'More Companies' button on their EmployeeDeck profiles. The button, which was previously non-functional, is now working as intended.
